Ancillary Studies
MOSAAIC encourages investigators to propose and conduct ancillary studies (AS) that expand the understanding of health and health disparities across Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander populations. These studies enhance the value of MOSAAIC and provide investigators with opportunities to leverage the existing cohort infrastructure for their research. To protect the integrity of MOSAAIC and its participants, all proposed AS involving new data collection undergo review by the Ancillary Studies Committee (ASC) and the Steering Committee. Studies that interfere with MOSAAIC main study, place an unreasonable burden on participants, pose potential harm or safety concern, or jeopardize participant retention are unlikely to be approved. Submitting AS proposals is also important and allows MOSAAIC to track the impact and broad scientific use of study data.
This webpage provides step-by-step guidance and resources for investigators interested in proposing an ancillary study.
